Sauber shows new C36

Sauber has shown the first pictures of the new C36, which retains its basic blue livery but in a much revised design.

Technical director Jorg Zander said that the team had “put greater emphasis on aerodynamic stability as opposed to maximising downforce.”

The team will use the engine spec with which Ferrari the 2016 season. Zander noted that it was “a tried and tested system with higher durability to begin with,” adding that “being able to get started early and defining the engine environment was an advantage because the team was familiar with the engine and the transmission as well as the cooling requirements the engine entailed.”
